Other possible causes?
The previous tips did not help or there are other issues? Please go through the following checklist. The same applies here: If you have questions about a specific Teufel product, please also refer to the manual for your product in the “Connecting” and “Troubleshooting” sections.
Is your Teufel device technically compatible?
Bluetooth is usually always compatible. If an error still occurs, testing with another Bluetooth transmitter (e.g., another smartphone) often helps.
Are firmware and software up to date?
Keep the firmware of your headphones and your mobile device up to date. Updates improve performance and fix known errors. Here you can find information about software/firmware/drivers/updates/apps for our devices.
Bluetooth transmitter or receiver?
All Bluetooth-enabled audio devices from Teufel are Bluetooth receivers. So you need to pair them with a Bluetooth transmitter device, whether it’s a laptop, TV, or similar device. Make sure the desired source device can also transmit. Especially older TVs often do not offer this option, but they can be upgraded with an external Bluetooth transmitter.
Your headphones are recognized, but there is no sound?
Check the volume on both the transmitter and the headphones. Also check if the transmitter or headphones might be muted.
Your headphones are recognized but cannot be selected?
For devices with a microphone, it may be necessary to allow an external microphone in the privacy settings of the transmitter.
Is the device list full?
Many devices save a maximum of eight Bluetooth receivers. If necessary, delete the list and pair again. How this works is explained in the respective user manual or here.
The connection does not establish even after a long wait?
Delete the device from the list and restart pairing.
The connection frequently drops?
- Check the transmitter and receiver. Also note that Bluetooth wireless technology has a shorter range than, for example, a Wi-Fi connection.
- Other electronic devices can also interfere with the Bluetooth connection. Therefore, try to stay in an environment with as few electronic sources of interference as possible. Physical obstacles such as walls or large metal objects can also affect signal quality. Therefore, it is advisable to stay as close as possible to the connected device.
Apple devices
- Disable/enable the Bluetooth module via the menu.
- If necessary: Reset the Bluetooth module using the hidden “Debug” function (Shift + Option + click the Bluetooth icon).
If nothing works at all
Perform a systematic troubleshooting and check whether one of the devices might be defective hardware-wise – for example, by testing with other Bluetooth devices.
