If you want to restore (repair) the firmware of a Teufel Streaming/Raumfeld device, please follow these instructions. Personal settings are retained during the restore process.
If you want to completely delete personal data on the device, use the reinstallation option.
Below are instructions on how to restore the firmware for the following devices:
Teufel Streaming devices of the 3rd generation (all devices with Teufel logo on the front except Teufel Soundbar/Sounddeck Streaming and Teufel Connector)
You can recognize the 3rd generation by the existing LED strip
Under the following link you will find the file "speaker3.img", which you should save on an empty USB stick (max. 4 GB, FAT32 formatted)
For the Teufel Streamer the following link applies > https://updates.raumfeld.com/repair/connect3.img
Then please proceed as follows:
- First switch off the speaker by either turning the power switch on the rear panel to OFF or disconnecting the power supply, depending on the device.
Please carry out this step even if the device is (supposedly) already switched off. - Then insert the USB stick into the USB port of the active speaker
- Now insert a paper clip into the reset hole on the back of the active speaker.
- Keep the paper clip pressed while you turn the power on by changing the switch to ON or by connecting the unit to the rear panel.
- Please hold the paper clip for another 10 seconds
The installation process is now in progress and can take up to 5 minutes. During the process, various stages are run through, which can be recognized by the LEDs:
- Firmware is loaded (LED strip flashes first left, then right; about 1 minute)
- Firmware is installed (LED strip flashes alternately every second; about 3 minutes)
- Device is restarted (LED strip flashes left, then right; about 1 minute)
- Installation is complete (device can now be set up again)
If the LED strip flashes alternately hectically, the image was not found or is incompletely loaded. Then download the firmware again and start again with step 1.
Teufel Soundbar/deck Streaming, Teufel X Rosenthal and all devices of the 2. generation (without Raumfeld/Teufel Connector)
You can recognize 2nd generation devices by the 2 LEDs on the front of the device (no external WLAN antenna).
Under the following link you will find the firmware file for your device. Please save it on an empty USB stick (max. 4 GB, FAT32 formatted)

- Firmware is loaded (the left LED lights up, then the right one; about 1 minute)
- Firmware is installed (both LEDs flash alternately every second; about 3 minutes)
- Device is restarted (left LED lights up, then the right one; about 1 minute)
- Installation is complete (left LED lights up, right LED flashes every 5 seconds)
