The Line-In can be used in two different ways:
Option 1 > Direct playback on the device on which the line-in is occupied.
As soon as a signal is present at the device line-in, it is played back directly and without delay on the playback device, provided that no other stream is currently being played back.
Note: Only with option 1 is there immediate sound output. This option is therefore suitable for the synchronous output of image and sound (e.g. YouTube or TV sound). Please check whether you are using the line-in with option 1.
Background: Streaming (data transmission) with Teufel Streaming is carried out by means of a packet-based transmission and is time-delayed due to the system, as the audio signal is buffered in order to compensate for network fluctuations. For these reasons, playback on all devices in the selected listening zone is delayed by up to two seconds.
Option 2 > 2. Re-streaming to other Teufel streaming devices (Multiroom).
Note: Re-streaming is not possible with the CINEBAR LUX.
You can also transmit the line-in signal to other rooms. To do this, open the "Line-In" entry in the menu of the Teufel Raumfeld app and tap on the device that receives a signal via Line-In. In the next menu, select the players that should also output the signal and tap "OK". The signal will now be transmitted to all selected devices.
I am unsure whether I have set direct playback or re-streaming. How can I check this?
Open the Teufel Raumfeld app and check whether a stream is playing in the miniplayer (below). If this is the case, the re-streaming option is active. Simply tap the "playback stop" icon here to switch to direct playback (option 1).
