A stable and strong WIFI signal is required for music streaming. This can lead to restrictions in playback in multi-room systems with three or more speakers, many other network devices (TV) or when the streaming boxes are far away from the router, as well as in unfavourable apartment layouts (e.g. many doors, long hallway, etc.). Restrictions such as slow performance, sluggish app, music dropouts, repeated reconnections can of course significantly reduce the enjoyment of music.
If you use several Teufel streaming devices, it is also advisable to set up the host (central computer or managing unit) via LAN connection in your network, since the entire network traffic of the streaming system runs through it.
For these reasons, every Teufel streaming device can alternatively be connected to the network via LAN (network cable). Use this option to make the music streaming smooth and permanently stable again, for example, in the case of boxes placed far away - starting from the router.
- Connect the device via LAN
- Delete the room of the device in the app under "Settings -> Rooms and devices".
- Then add a new room.
- Set up the device in the "Wired connection" during the following setup.
