Note: The EFFEKT speakers are connected via radio.
Although the initial connection of the wirelessly operated EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 rear speakers resembles pairing devices via Bluetooth, the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers do not support Bluetooth and therefore cannot be paired via Bluetooth (for example, with a smartphone). Instead, the EFFEKT speakers are controlled via a radio connection.
EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers are currently compatible with:
current versions of CINEBAR Pro, CINEBAR LUX, CINEBAR ULTIMA, CINEBAR 11 (from 2021), CINEBAR 22, CINEBAR DUETT* (*only versions with E in the product name),
ULTIMA 25 Active, ULTIMA 40 Active, ULTIMA 40 AKTIV / AKTIV 3

- Hold down the PAIRING button (4) on the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers until the operation indicator (2) flashes white rapidly.
- Put the source device (one of the above-mentioned soundbars or active speakers) also into pairing mode (radio).
Note: The exact steps and the location of the pairing button vary slightly from system to system. For more information on how to activate pairing mode on the source device (one of the above-mentioned soundbars or active speakers), please refer to its manual. - As soon as the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers find a compatible transmitter (one of the above-mentioned soundbars or active speakers), they connect to it. The operation indicator (2) on the EFFEKT/EFFEKT 2 lights up continuously white and then dims.
Possible Causes of Errors
It may happen that the connection does not work immediately. Here are possible causes and appropriate measures:
- Cause: The source device is not in pairing mode.
Measure: Check the manual of your source device (one of the above-mentioned soundbars or active speakers). - Cause: The distance between the devices is too great (>15m) or objects are obstructing the connection.
Measure: Adjust the arrangement of the devices. Bring the EFFEKT and the source device as close together as possible for the first connection. - Cause: Incompatibility between the EFFEKT and the source device.
Measure: Check if your source device is listed above. If you are unsure, please contact us. - Cause: The transmission is disturbed.
Measure: Other radio sources (cordless phones, Wi-Fi stations, or microwave devices) interfere with the connection. Change the locations of the interfering devices.
