Some sources (TV channels, streaming services, etc.) transmit the audio signal exclusively in stereo format. As a result, the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers do not receive a signal and therefore likely remain silent. To ensure all speakers receive a signal, please set the Upmix option accordingly on your receiver / soundbar.
With the Upmix function enabled, the system calculates the necessary signals for the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers as well, creating a full surround sound experience.
Possible Upmix settings are:
DPL II – Dolby Pro Logic II
Direct – Stereo on all channels
Off – pure stereo sound (no signal to EFFEKT speakers)
