Where can I find the user manual?
You can find the user manual here.
Why is the IMPAQ 8000 Blu-ray Receiver not recognized via HDMI (when using TV mode)?
Possible cause: IMPAQ 8000 Blu-ray Receiver is not properly configured.
Solution: Enable HDMI‑CEC in the receiver's menu: Menu → Settings → System → HDMI‑CEC
After that, the TV should recognize the receiver.
Further troubleshooting tips can be found here: No sound over HDMI
IMPAQ 8000 Blu-ray Receiver no longer starts, the display remains dark
- Check the power supply.
- Try a different power outlet as a test.
- Check the fuse:
It is also possible that the fuse is defective. Check this by replacing the fuse. You can find the fuse compartment at the back of the device right at the power connection.
When using with USB WLAN adapter: The WLAN connection to the router is not established or drops.
The following measures can help:
Check USB WLAN adapter
- Check whether the Teufel Wi‑Fi Link USB adapter is correctly and directly connected to the USB port of the IMPAQ 8000 Blu-ray Receiver.
Check WLAN access data
- Make sure the WLAN security key (WPA/WPA2 password) is entered correctly. Even small typos prevent the connection from being established.
Check MAC address filter
- Check if a MAC address filter is activated in the WLAN base station (access point/router).
- If so, enter the MAC address of the IP 8000 as an allowed device or temporarily disable the filter for testing.
Ensure router's WLAN function
- Make sure the WLAN function on the router is activated and the router is broadcasting visible networks (SSID active).
Use USB extension cable selectively
- In some cases, a USB extension cable can be helpful to spatially move the WLAN adapter away from sources of interference and improve reception. Use a short, high-quality shielded USB cable for this.
- If reception is still not possible, remove the USB extension cable and test the connection again, possibly with a different USB cable.
Replace HDMI cable
- Try replacing the HDMI cable as a test.
- Poorly shielded or very flat HDMI cables can cause electromagnetic interference, which especially affects 2.4 GHz WLAN.
Optimize the position of the router and IMPAQ 8000 Blu-ray Receiver
- Often it is enough to position the IMPAQ 8000 or the WLAN base station differently.
Place both devices so that there are as few obstacles (walls, furniture) as possible between them. - Avoid placing the devices directly next to or under metal surfaces, in closed cabinets, or behind other electronic devices, as these can shield or interfere with the WLAN signal.
- Reading tip: The WLAN signal of my devices is permanently low or keeps breaking down.
The display shows "No Disc" even though a CD/DVD/BD is inserted
1. Test the function with another disc.
→ If this one is recognized, the other disc may be damaged, dirty, inserted the wrong way, incompatible, or regionally not suitable (Region Code Europe).
The subwoofer (e.g., T 10) is very quiet, although the settings are correct. What can I do?
It may help to reset the Impaq 8000 to factory settings:
Reset the IP 8000 to factory settings and then unplug it from the power for several minutes. Then please set it up again. The following settings are relevant for the subwoofer:
- Menu Settings - Speaker Settings - Speaker Configuration - 5.1
- Menu Settings - Speaker Settings - Speaker Size - SSS1
- Menu Settings - Speaker Settings - Crossover Frequency - depending on the speakers used
- Menu Sound - Level - preferably set to +8 to +10 dB
Can I use the IP 8000 BR only as a Blu-Ray player?
If the IP 8000 BR is used only as a Blu-Ray player (ONLY as a source), you must disable the CEC function in the IP menu: Menu → Settings → System → HDMI‑CEC
Otherwise, the power-on behavior may no longer be correct, and no sound may come from the TV via ARC. ( IP 8000 Out → TV HDMI IN → HDMI ARC TV to UL 40 Active e.g.)
Volume control then works ONLY via the TV remote control or the active speaker/device connected to the ARC. The volume control and MUTE button on the IP then have NO function.
