The older models REAL PURE, BLUE (2020), and REAL BLUE NC (2020) have a red fabric lining inside the ear cups. The models REAL BLUE/BLUE NC (available since Nov. 2021) are exclusively equipped with a black fabric lining. The newest model, the REAL BLUE NC 3 (available since January 2025), has a microphone opening below the Teufel logo.

Are replacement ear pads available?
Unfortunately, there are no replacement ear pads available for the older models REAL BLUE and REAL BLUE NC.
Unfortunately, we can no longer offer replacement pads for this model generation, as we already have a successor in our range. However, you might still find some from third-party suppliers in accessory stores (e.g., online retailers on platforms). You can search at your own risk using terms like "HEADPHONES REAL BLUE ear pads cushions."

Can the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC headphones be used via Bluetooth on a Sony PlayStation 4?
The game console manufacturer only approves certain headphones/headsets.
The Teufel models REAL BLUE/BLUE NC do not work with the PS4 via Bluetooth because they are not licensed for this.
Can the noise cancellation (ANC) be used without audio playback?
The active noise cancellation (ANC) of the REAL BLUE NC works - when switched on - even without audio playback.
Note: The Real Blue NC has an automatic shutdown of the ANC function if no signal is present. The shutdown occurs after 100 minutes.
The smartphone* shows the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC battery as "half empty" even though it is fully charged
The smartphone* only displays the battery level of connected Bluetooth devices in the following steps: Full, Half Full, or Empty. The "Full" indicator appears between 100% and 95% of the actual charge level. If the charge level falls below 95%, the battery is already shown as "Half Empty." (Status April 2019)
*Only on smartphones that support this function
Tip: If you want to read the battery level of a connected smartphone more precisely, you can use additional apps or widgets.
Does the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC also work via the included 3.5mm cable on a PC?
Note: This article is relevant for all models of the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC
The headphones work with the included 3.5mm cable on a smartphone alternatively to Bluetooth.
On a PC with Windows 10, connect the 4-pole plug to the headphone output (PC). Then select the desired function (e.g., headphones). The remote control will not work on the PC.
Can I use the headphones as a headset on a PC via Bluetooth?
Note: This article is relevant for the all models of the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC
The headset function of the REAL BLUE NC can be used if the paired device also supports this function. The paired device must be able to both send and receive audio signals via Bluetooth. Many older devices such as TVs, laptops, PCs, etc., unfortunately do not support this. Please check with the manufacturer of the connected device for more details.
Which devices are the headphones compatible with?
The REAL BLUE/BLUE NC is compatible with all devices that support Bluetooth. This includes iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows, and Mac OS devices.
Can I use the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC for sports?
The Teufel Real Blue or Real Blue NC is indeed suitable for sports activities. However, it is not specially protected against moisture and is therefore not suitable for "sweat-inducing" activities.
Do the REAL BLUE/REAL BLUE NC headphones only work wirelessly via Bluetooth?
The headphone models REAL BLUE and REAL BLUE NC can also be used alternatively via a cable connection. Corresponding cables are included with the devices.
I can't hear anything with my headphones. What could be the reason?
Note: This article is relevant for all models of the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC.
Possible Cause 1: The 3.5mm jack cable is not properly connected.
Solution: Connect the 3.5mm jack cable properly to the headphones. On a Windows 10 computer, connect the 4-pole plug to the headphone output of the computer.
Possible Cause 2: There is no Bluetooth connection (only with BLUE / BLUE NC).
Solution: Establish a Bluetooth® connection. Stay within range of the source device.
Possible Cause 3: Volume set too low.
Solution: Increase the volume on the source device and/or on the headphones.
