If the Raumfeld device is not detected, please check in the home router settings whether all requirements are met:
- DHCP is enabled (automatic IP assignment)
- WPA2-PSK encryption is set
- Network name (SSID) must be visible
- MAC filter is NOT active
- Wi-Fi broadcast frequency is set to 2.4 GHz (for older Raumfeld devices with external Wi-Fi antenna)
- Multicast is enabled on the router
- Client Isolation (CI) in the router/access point is disabled (if previously enabled)
alternatively: in the router interface, check the box "Allow direct communication between wireless devices" or similar - Network password (or Wi-Fi password, network key, NOT router login) must not contain special characters
- If enabled, temporarily disable WPS for testing
- Set data transmission speed (of the LAN port of the Wi-Fi router) to 100 Mbit for testing, if it was previously set to unlimited (or automatic)
- If your router has a "Guest Wi-Fi access" (or similar), make sure this access is not used for Raumfeld. The system requires full access, which the guest access does not provide.
Optional: Place a switch (network hub) between the home router and the Raumfeld device – this can force detection in most cases. You can get a switch for about 5 euros online or at an electronics store.
