Challenge:
The microphone clip included with the Shure PGA58 and microphone stands use two different thread standards:
- 3/8" internal thread (common on European stands)
- 5/8" external thread (standard on many microphone clips, including Shure)
Solution:
Connect the microphone clip with a reducer thread from 5/8" to 3/8". This reducer thread (Shure GM3858) is included with the PGA 58. You will find it in the black microphone pouch. It looks like this:
