Infrared Remote Controls
You can test the function of a remote control to determine or rule out a defect.
It is possible that either the remote control itself or the sensor on the subwoofer/device is defective. To determine where the fault comes from, please proceed as follows:
You can check a remote control for functionality by viewing the infrared signal through the monitor of a digital camera or on the display of a mobile phone. On the monitor of the digital camera/mobile phone display, the otherwise invisible signal lights up white.
With newer smartphones, it can be helpful to use the front camera for this, as the design of the cameras may mean the infrared signal can only be partially detected.
First, start the photo function of a smartphone and then press and hold any button on the remote control while you look at the remote control on the display.
You can observe the following:
- If the diode flickers, it can be assumed that the remote control is working and the error lies with the device to be controlled.
- If it flashes only once, the batteries are probably dead.
- If no light is visible, the remote control is probably defective.
If your remote control is defective, first take a look at the instructions The remote control is defective, but replacement is no longer available
If your device is defective, first take a look at the instructions My product appears to be defective.
Radio Remote Controls
Checklist:
- Does the control LED on the remote control (top left) light up?
- Please also check the battery charge level
- Pair the radio remote control again as described in your system's user manual. See also TEUFEL radio remote control does not work after battery replacement
- If the above points do not lead to success, please contact our customer service.
Teufel Puck Control
To rule out a device defect, please check the following points:
- Is the remote control (Puck Control) connected ("paired") with the system? The LEDs on the puck only light up when the connection exists.
- For pairing, the side button on the remote control must be pressed for up to 30 seconds (usually 10s). The device to be controlled must be turned on and be in close proximity to the puck during pairing.
- If the connection is established (3 flashes of the PUCK) but control is still not possible, please disconnect the device to be controlled from the power supply for 5 seconds and then try again.
- Please also check the battery charge level.
