Connecting an Active Subwoofer
Active subwoofers have a built-in amplifier and are usually connected to an AV receiver, soundbar, or another compatible audio device via an RCA cable. If necessary, perform the speaker calibration or setup of your audio device.

Connecting a Wireless Subwoofer Wirelessly
Almost all Teufel subwoofers can be connected wirelessly to a compatible soundbar, AV receiver, active speakers, or a wireless transmitter. The connection is established via a special radio link and not via Bluetooth.
How to establish the radio connection:
- Make sure the subwoofer is not additionally connected via a signal cable.
- Turn on the subwoofer and the compatible audio device.
- Activate the pairing mode on your audio device. Information about this can be found in the respective user manual.
- Then start the pairing mode on the subwoofer.
- The status LED indicates that it is searching for a connection.
- After successful pairing, the status LED lights up continuously and the subwoofer is ready for use.

Connecting a Passive Subwoofer
Passive subwoofers do not have a built-in amplifier and are connected directly to an amplifier via speaker cables. This design is mostly found in older speaker systems today, as modern AV receivers generally no longer offer special connections for passive subwoofers.
How to connect a passive subwoofer:
- Connect the passive subwoofer to the designated output of your amplifier using speaker cables.
- Observe the correct polarity (+/-).
- Make sure that the amplifier and subwoofer are compatible.
