If the setup via WiFi fails (the device is not detected/found) a wired setup can help. The cable can be removed after the setup is completed.
With a wired setup, the Raumfeld device and WiFi router are connected via a network cable for the duration of the setup.
This is how the wired setup starts:
Android users
- Connect a streaming device directly to your router via a LAN cable and switch on
- Start the setup wizard in the app
- Continue up to the screen asking you to press the setup button > click "Continue"
- Press the setup button on your Raumfeld device
- In the app tap on "Continue"
- The device search now follows
- Once the device has been found, simply follow the rest of the instructions on the app
iOS users:
- Connect the streaming device directly to the router via a LAN cable and switch it on
- Start the setup
- Click "Continue" until you reach the screen asking you to press the setup button
- Press the setup button on your Raumfeld device
- Tap "Continue" in the app
- In the following screen, please select the button "Help, the WiFi is not displayed" (scroll three images to the right). If both LEDs are blinking, just tap on "next" in the corresponding window. If they do not blink, please restart the setup and the device completely.
