If the setup via WiFi fails (device not detected) using a LAN cable connected to a router can be a useful alternative setup method. The cable can then be removed after the setup is completed.
To complete setup using the wired method, the LAN cable must remain connected to both the device and router for the duration of the setup process.
This is how to get started:
Android users
- Connect a streaming device directly to your router via a LAN cable and switch on
- Start the setup wizard in the app
- Click the Continue button until you see the screen that allows you to press the Setup button.
- Press the setup button on your Raumfeld device
- Press Continue in the app
- Your phone will now search for the device.
- Once the device has been found, simply follow the rest of the instructions on the app
iOS users:
- Connect the streaming device directly to the router via a LAN cable and switch it on
- Start the setup
- Click the Continue button until you see the screen that allows you to press the Setup button.
- Press the setup button on your Raumfeld device
- Press Continue in the app
- On the next screen, choose the button "Help, the Wi-Fi network is not displayed" (scroll three screens to the right). When both LEDs blink, simply press Continue in the relevant window. If they are not blinking, please start the device setup again from the beginning.
- The phone will perform device search for cabled installation.
- Once the device is found, simply follow the rest of the instructions on the app
