Note: This article refers to the model CINEBAR 11 (2020), sold from 2017 until early 2021.
The CINEBAR 11 input "HDMI TV" can only be used if the TV supports the standard "ARC" in the version > HDMI 1.4.
Therefore, you need to find out what kind of HDMI connectors the TV has. Almost all current TVs are equipped with HDMI ARC. The abbreviation ARC stands for "Audio Return Channel" - this means that audio data can be transmitted in two directions, e.g. from the soundbar to the TV and vice versa.
If, for example, a DVB-T tuner is integrated in the TV for receiving the TV program and a Blu-ray player is connected to the soundbar, the audio data can run from the TV to the soundbar via an HDMI cable with ARC and the image data from the Blu-ray to the TV at the same time.
It is important that you please plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI TV input on the soundbar - not HDMI In.
If your TV does not have an HDMI-ARC connection, please use an optical cable for sound transmission, provided your TV has a corresponding optical output:
